1 pkg (2 ¼ t ) yeast
1 T sugar
1 T warm water
½ C margarine (melted)
½ C sugar
3 beaten eggs
1 C luke warm water
4-4 ½ C flour
1 t salt
Combine: 1 pkg (2 ¼ t ) yeast, 1 T sugar, 1 T warm water. Let bubbles
begin to form.
Melt ½ C margarine and add ½ C sugar, and 3 beaten eggs. Add to
yeast mixture.
Add 1 C luke warm water and 4-4 ½ C flour and 1 t salt.
Mix well and refrigerate overnite or at least 8 hours.
To make dinner rolls: Remove a lump of dough and roll into a circle
on a well floured surface.
Cut into wedges-like a pizza, and roll up crescent roll fashion.
Let rise at least 2 hours on greased cookie sheet. Then bake for 10-12 minutes
at 375.
Watch to make sure they don't get too brown.
Recipe doubles well. As is will make 24 rolls.
For cinnamon rolls: Remove a lump of dough, roll into a rectangle.
Drizzle melted butter over dough. Sprinkle with cinnamon-to taste.
And spread brown sugar or white sugar next. Roll up jelly roll fashion and slice
into
1 ¼ inch slices. Place in buttered cake pan-should hold about 6.
Allow to rise at least 2 hours.
Can be left on the counter overnite and baked first thing in morning.
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Make a glaze with powdered sugar, milk and vanilla
or
almond flavoring. Drizzle over warm rolls.
