1 C Butter
¾ C sugar
1 t almond extract
2 C flour
½ t baking powder
¼ t salt
Glaze:
1 ½ C powdered sugar
1 t almond extract
4-5 t of water
Mix together: butter, sugar, almond extract, four, baking powder, and salt.
Roll dough into 1 inch balls, place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
Flatten balls with bottom of glass, dipped in additional sugar.
Bake for 7-9 minutes until edges are lightly browned.
Cool one minute, remove to racks .
For glaze: combine powdered sugar, almond extract, and water.
Mix until spreading consistency.
